BRANDS PLUCKED FROM THE FIRE
Remnant Rising

Zechariah 3:1-5 – “Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan[a] standing at his right hand to oppose him.
2 And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.
4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”
5 And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.”So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.
The remnant Bride of Christ are those who are not satisfied with doing church as normal. They know that that just won’t do anymore. There is a call from Holy Spirit to those who have ears to hear.
In fact, the remnant’s ears are perked up and focusing in on what the Spirit is saying. The remnant knows that the Lord is longing for His Bride to come up a little higher, to move in a little closer and to be willing to pay the price to follow Him.
He has and is plucking many from the fires of bondage, drug addiction, alcohol addiction, immorality and even religion and saying, “You! You are called by Me and I have carried you through the most horrendous situations, I have rescued you out of great darkness, I have severed the lies of the religious spirits sent to keep you in bondage to a worldly system and have set you in a place close to My heart. Just know that you are here today because I have a specific mandate to give you. The days ahead are unlike any that you have known before and you will see that I have a strategy to help you walk where I say walk. You will see tremendous success in Me as you hearken to My voice, as you walk in My ways and continue on the narrow path that I am placing before you. If you do, you will know why you are the remnant. You will see and be so thankful that you said Yes.”
The remnant will take root downward and bear fruit upward.
2 Kings 19:30-32 – And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah
Shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. 31 For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and those who
escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the Lord [a]of hosts will do this.’
Isaiah 37:31-32 - 31 And the remnant who have escaped of
the house of Judah Shall again take
root downward, and bear fruit upward.
Zechariah 8:12 – “For the seed shall be prosperous, the vine shall give its fruit,
the ground shall give her increase and the heavens
shall give their dew – I will cause
the remnant of this people to possess all these.”
The remnant treasures God’s word. In fact, I see a desperate desire for the Word of God within the remnant. They realize that the Word of God is their lifeline to the heart of God.
Psalm 1:2-3 - “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in
His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season,
whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
Joshua 1:8 – “This book of the Law shall not depart from
your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night,
that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.”
Now, concerning the fruit that bears upward!
This is an increase in the fruit of Holy Spirit within the remnant. There is coming a very real focus upon the fruit of the Spirit as well as the gifts of the Spirit.
Holy Spirit is saying that there has been a deviation from the focus He desires the remnant to have – yes, desire the spiritual gifts but don’t forget to PURSUE LOVE first.
1 Corinthians 14:1 – “Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts,
but especially that you may prophesy.
The remnant will find their place in their specific fold.
Jeremiah 23:3 “But I will gather the remnant of My flock
out of all countries where I have driven them,
and bring them back to their folds;
and they shall be fruitful and increase.
Micah 2:12-13 -“I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of [a]the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people. 13 The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, and go out by it; Their king will pass before them, with the Lord at their head.”
The Hebrew word for fold means “abode, habitation, a home, pasture.” The remnant will find their church home where they will grow, be fruitful and increase in their specific giftings. And I also see the fold as your place within the 7 mountains of influence. – religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment and business.
They will find a “settling” in their assigned place in one of these mountains. According to these passages of scripture, Jesus will lead you to your place. There are other believers, other sheep, just like you and you will find yourself in the midst of those who are your family.
And we are the sheep, the remnant of HIS PASTURE! And the following scripture confirms that the remnant of God’s pasture KNOW HIS VOICE -
Psalm 95:7-8 – “For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: ‘Do not harden your hearts,
as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness.”
Psalm 100:3 – “Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us,
and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”
The remnant will long for holiness, righteousness, obedience to the voice of the Lord, and will walk in the fear of the Lord.
Zephaniah 3:13 - The remnant of Israel shall
do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor
shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; For they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
and no one shall make them afraid.”
Haggai 1:12 - Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua
the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant
of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God,
and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God
had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the Lord
The remnant are intimate lovers of the Lord and His presence.
Isaiah 28:5 - In that day the Lord of hosts will be For a crown
of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people.
Isaiah 62:1-4 - For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for
Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness
goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns. 2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and
all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the Lord will name. 3 You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem In the hand of your God. 4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married
The remnant live life along the narrow road.
Matthew 7:13-14 (TLB) - Heaven can be entered
only through the narrow gate!
The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough
for all the multitudes who choose its easy way.
14 But the Gateway to Life is small, and the
road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.
Luke 13:22-24 (NASB) - And He was passing through from one
city and village to another, teaching,
and proceeding on His way to Jerusalem.
And someone said to Him, “Lord, are there just a few who
are being saved?” and He said to them,
“Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many,
I tell you will seek to enter and will not be able.”
What does life look like for the one
who desires to live life along the narrow road?
What is the narrow road? Jesus only mentioned the narrow gate or road two times in scripture. In Matthew 7:13-14 and in Luke 13:24, Jesus spoke about the narrow gate which is also translated in some translations as the narrow road and the narrow door. This message is the same – the way to heaven is NARROW!
And the way to life in Jesus can only be found living life along the narrow road. Though this narrow road is difficult to traverse because of having to die to our flesh and our carnal nature, the rewards are enormous, beautiful and worth it all. For me, it’s the only way to live. I do have to say that there is grace and forgiveness all along this narrow road for those times you veer off.
This radically obedient lifestyle is also described by Jesus in Matthew 18:8-9 - 8 “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire."
